Adjective clause

Adjective clause Is a clause which has the function like adjective.

Example:

1. The boy is a good student. He stays in Mr. John’s house.

The boy who stays in Mr. John’s house is a good student

or

The boy who is a good student stays in Mr.john’shouse

2. I told the man how to swim. He is Adi’s father

I told the man who is Adi’s father how to swim

Or

The man whom I told how to swim is Adi’s father

Relative pronoun in adjective clause

¨ Who : human subject

¨ Whom : human object

¨ Whose : possessive (kepunyaan)

¨ Which : non human subject & object

¨ That : human, non human object & subject

¨ Where : place
